• Founded in 1985, United American Land LLC (UAL) is a family-owned real estate development, investment and management company based in Soho. Its principals, the brothers Albert, Jason and Jody Laboz, own and manage approximately forty properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn. They have restored, improved and reinvented historic buildings in Tribeca, Soho, Chelsea and the Flatiron district via conversion from commercial use to luxury residences. Among such projects are UAL's current initiative to restore the Arnold Constable & Company Building, a once-grand 19th-century block-long retail stalwart at the block bounded by Howard, Mercer and Canal Streets, to house elegant residential lofts with carriage trade retail on the street level. The Lyla, a 70,000-square foot retail and residential condominium building at 600 Sixth Avenue at 17th Street in Manhattan, is another recent UAL project.
